Based in Austin, Texas, Rodolfo Gonzalez has extensive experience in breaking news, portraiture, sports and more.
In addition to being an independent photojournalist for hire, he leads experiences for Leica Akademie.
Rodolfo was a staff photographer at the Austin American-Statesman, Rocky Mountain News, The Providence Journal, Fort Worth Star-Telegram and San Antonio Light.
Rodolfo was a member of the Rocky Mountain News photography staff that was awarded the Pulitzer Prize for Breaking News (Columbine High School shooting). He also received a National Headliner Award, a Texas Headliner Award, multiple Texas Associated Press Managing Editors Awards, and the Barbara Jordan Media Award.
Rodolfo was a lecturer at Texas State University's School of Journalism & Mass Communication, teaching “Intro to Photojournalism.”
A San Antonio native, Rodolfo studied journalism, photography and mass communication at San Antonio College.
